I’ll come clean about green. It’s just not my favorite color. Not by a long shot on a lucky day. I know green has plenty of fans, however. They are welcome to gaze in the verdant pastures of green to their heart’s desire.
Add some pink to the green (please) and now you’re speaking a language I can understand and appreciate. Because pink makes almost anything better. Pink even makes pink better, such is the power of roseate hues! But I digress.
Because there is no pink planned for today’s blog post. Not even a whisper. Instead, I’ve searched the web for the prettiest green wedding images I could find, and in the end I was surprised. Some greens are good. Even great! Who knew? Color me (mostly) surprised, dear reader.
No small part of the pleasure of creating this site lies in exploring color, because doing so knocks on doors previously hidden. Even at 54, I haven’t nearly seen it all. Not by half. Here I shake some of the dust out of my world weary eyes and prod pooped out brain cells to sing anew. Color and pretty things give me reasons to be cheerful again, if only for a moment. To hope, with sincerity and no irony. Lately I need extra help with that. The whole world does. A bit of sage, celadon, succulent, or mint or apple green never hurt a soul.
Indulge!
